Description

This striking cladding features slender, high ribs and broad, flat pans that make a dramatic statement on any structure. Using a concealed fixing system to maintain its clean lines, LYSAGHT LONGLINE® cladding can be tapered for a fan-like effect where curvilinear roofs require a tailored cladding solution.

Material Specification

Next generation ZINCALUME® aluminium/zinc/ magnesium alloy coated steel complies with AS1397:2011 G550, AM125 (550 MPa minimum yield stress, 125 g/m2 minimum coating mass).

COLORBOND® steel is prepainted steel for exterior roofing and walling. It is the most widely used. The painting complies with AS/NZS 2728:2013 and the steel base is an aluminium/zinc alloy-coated steel complying with AS 1397:2011. Minimum yield strengths are G550 (550MPa), or G300 (300MPa) depending on profile. Minimum coating mass is AM100 (100g/m2).

COLORBOND® Metallic steel is prepainted steel for superior aesthetic qualities displaying a metallic sheen.

COLORBOND® Ultra steel is prepainted steel for severe coastal or industrial environments (generally within about 100-200 metres of the source). The painting complies with AS/NZS 2728:2013 and the steel base is an aluminium/ zinc alloy-coated steel complying with AS 1397:2011. Minimum coating mass is AM150 (150g/m2).

SuperDura™ Stainless steel is pre-painted steel and is used for severe and coastal environments. The painting complies with AS/NZS 2728:2013 and the steel base is a stainless steel complying with AISI/ASTM Type 430; UNS No. S43000.

As LONGLINE 305® has a flat pan finish with no flutes, the material can exhibit signs of oil canning. This can exist for all COLORBOND® steel colours but is potentially more visible in the darker COLORBOND® steel colours in the range. This can be seen in the finish of the product so designers need to make a professional judgement in its suitability for the application. Oil canning is not a structural defect simply an aesthetic issue. Please consult with the Lysaght technical enquiries team for advice.

Span Table

The maximum recommended support spacings are based on testing in accordance with AS1562.1-1992, AS4040.1-1992 and AS4040.2-1992. Supports must not be less than 1mm BMT.

Roof spans consider both resistance to wind pressure and light roof traffic (traffic arising from incidental maintenance).

Wall spans consider resistance to wind pressure only.

The figures relate only to buildings 10m or less in height and located in sheltered or exposed suburban areas or sheltered rural areas only, for further details Download LYSAGHT LONGLINE 305® Design and Installation Guide.

Disclaimer: Please note that all flat pan profiles can exhibit signs of oil canning under certain light conditions which can potentially be seen in the finish of the product. While this appearance can differ for all colours, it is typically more visible in darker colours. Oil canning is not a structural defect but simply an aesthetic issue. Designers should take this aspect into account upon selection and need to make a professional judgement on the profile suitability for the particular application. Please consult with LYSAGHT® technical team for any additional advice.
