Next generation ZINCALUME® aluminium/zinc/magnesium alloy coated steel complies with AS 1397:2011 G550, AM125 (550 MPa minimum yield stress, 125 g/m² minimum coating mass).
COLORBOND® steel is prepainted steel for exterior roofing and walling. It is the most widely used. The painting complies with AS/NZS 2728:2013 and the steel base is an aluminium/zinc alloy-coated steel complying with AS 1397:2011. Minimum yield strength for CUSTOM ORB is G550 (550 MPa). Minimum coating mass is AM100 (100 g/m²).
COLORBOND® Metallic steel is prepainted steel for superior aesthetic qualities displaying a metallic sheen.

Churches of Christ in Queensland is a church and community organisation comprising affiliated mainstream Christian churches, and a range of care and community services and faith-related groups. They provide missional and community care services to families, the elderly and people in need through church communities and care services groups operated through Churches of Christ Care and Churches of Christ Housing Services.
The Regional winner of Lysaghts’ Inspirations Design Awards (LIDA) was thrown significant design challenges on the way to successfully obtaining this accolade with its ‘Mercy College Mackay Library’ development.
Bold Architecture + Interior Design, were tasked with redeveloping an existing single storey library and transforming it into a new, two-level library building with a civic feel, that would become the heart and soul of a greater ‘student city’.
THE PROJECT
Located in Canberra’s inner south, the suburb of Kingston is highlighted by its close proximity to the Jerrabomberra Wetlands Nature Reserve and is also a stone’s through from Parliament House.
It’s therefore no surprise that the suburb attracts an eclectic mix of residents, recreational and business patrons, keen to enjoy its many amenities and cosmopolitan lifestyles. The ‘Kingsborough’ development sought to capitalise on this broad appeal by introducing a unique community of 260 dwellings that will eventually be home to 500 people.
